ISLAMABAD: Bilawal Bhutto, head of Pakistan\u2019s diplomatic delegation in New York, emphasized that their mission is focused solely on establishing peace in South Asia.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Addressing the Pakistani diaspora in the United States, he made it clear that their efforts are not driven by any political party interests or personal objectives but by a commitment to Pakistan\u2019s security and regional harmony.<\/p>\n

Diplomatic Mission and Restraint in Conflict<\/strong><\/p>\n

Bilawal Bhutto highlighted the responsible conduct of Pakistan during the recent military tensions with India.<\/p>\n

He revealed that the Pakistan Air Force had locked onto 20 Indian aircraft but chose restraint, targeting only those planes that dropped ordnance on Pakistani territory.<\/p>\n

He stressed that Pakistan\u2019s response was in strict self-defense, following international laws and the UN Charter, and that the country\u2019s military leadership acted with maturity and rationality.<\/p>\n

He criticized India\u2019s unilateral actions, including missile strikes targeting civilian infrastructure such as places of worship, dams, and energy facilities, which led to the deaths of innocent civilians.<\/p>\n

Bilawal firmly denied accusations that Pakistan was behind terrorist attacks in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), stating Pakistan condemned the attacks and offered to join an international inquiry, which India rejected.<\/p>\n

Call for International Support and Peace<\/strong><\/p>\n

Bilawal urged the global community, especially the United States, to take an active role in easing tensions and promoting dialogue between the two nuclear-armed neighbors.<\/p>\n

He called for a comprehensive peace process grounded in diplomacy, mutual respect, and adherence to international law. \u201cA war between India and Pakistan is not in anyone\u2019s interest,\u201d he said, stressing the importance of peaceful coexistence for regional stability.<\/p>\n
