ISLAMABAD: A powerful explosion struck the Jaffer Express near Jacobabad on Wednesday, derailing four bogies and damaging a significant portion of the railway track.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The blast, caused by a remotely-controlled device planted on the tracks, occurred near the city\u2019s cattle market as the train was en route to Quetta.<\/p>\n

Fortunately, no passengers were injured in the incident.<\/p>\n

Eyewitnesses described moments of panic as the bomb tore through the train, shaking carriages and sending passengers into a state of shock.<\/p>\n

Officials confirmed that the explosion created a crater nearly four feet deep and damaged about 30 feet of track.<\/p>\n

Investigation Underway, BRG Claims Responsibility<\/h3>\n

Jacobabad SSP Saddam Hussain Khaskheli, accompanied by railway and police officials, arrived at the scene shortly after the blast.<\/p>\n

The Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) began examining the area and confirmed that five to six kilograms of explosives had been used.<\/p>\n

Authorities believe the device was detonated remotely.<\/p>\n

A statement allegedly issued by the banned Baloch Republican Guards (BRG) claimed responsibility for the attack.<\/p>\n

The group circulated its message via social media platforms shortly after the explosion.<\/p>\n

No arrests have been made yet, and no FIR had been registered at any police station until late Wednesday evening.<\/p>\n

Government Response and Restoration Efforts<\/h3>\n

Sindh Home Minister Ziaul Hassan Lanjar called for immediate reports from Larkana DIG and Jacobabad SSP.<\/p>\n

He urged authorities to act swiftly against those behind the attack.<\/p>\n

Local political leaders including MNA Mir Aijaz Hussain Jakhrani and MPA Sher Muhammad Mugheri condemned the bombing and demanded justice.<\/p>\n

They emphasized the need for strict action to prevent future acts of terrorism in the region.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Pakistan Railways arranged alternate transportation for passengers and dispatched a team from Rohri to repair the damaged section of track.<\/p>\n
