{"id":3481,"date":"2025-06-19T11:57:01","date_gmt":"2025-06-19T06:57:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/youdigital.pk\/en\/?p=3481"},"modified":"2025-06-19T15:20:19","modified_gmt":"2025-06-19T10:20:19","slug":"maryam-nawaz-pushes-to-speed-up-nawaz-sharif-it-city","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/youdigital.pk\/en\/2025\/06\/19\/maryam-nawaz-pushes-to-speed-up-nawaz-sharif-it-city","title":{"rendered":"Maryam Nawaz Pushes to Speed Up Nawaz Sharif IT City"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"58\" data-end=\"591\"><strong>ISLAMABAD: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif chaired a key meeting to review progress on the Nawaz Sharif IT City, a flagship project aimed at technological advancement in Punjab.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"58\" data-end=\"591\">The IT City recently received formal approval from the Special Technology Zones Authority (STZA), marking a major milestone with the establishment of the &#8220;NSIT Silicon Block.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"58\" data-end=\"591\">This approval paves the way for the arrival of global IT firms, with 23 major companies already expressing interest in setting up offices within the Silicon Block.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"593\" data-end=\"633\">Major Collaborations and Investments<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"635\" data-end=\"1213\">The project will host several prestigious institutions and tech companies.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"635\" data-end=\"1213\">Imperial College London, in partnership with Novecare, plans to launch a state-of-the-art medical college and hospital within the IT City.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"635\" data-end=\"1213\">NetCol aims to establish Pakistan\u2019s first comprehensive IT university at the site, while the Roots Group is partnering with the University of Warwick, UK, for educational ventures.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"635\" data-end=\"1213\">Leading tech firms like DataFort and Mari-Tech will jointly develop Tier 3 and Tier 4 data centers, and<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"635\" data-end=\"1213\">Data Rocks is preparing to set up Punjab\u2019s first FTA-approved laboratory.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"1215\" data-end=\"1260\">Accelerated Efforts for Timely Completion<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1262\" data-end=\"1731\">CEO of Central Business District Punjab, Imran Amin, gave a detailed update on the project\u2019s current status.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1262\" data-end=\"1731\">Maryam Nawaz Sharif directed all relevant departments to expedite work and ensure timely completion of the IT City.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1262\" data-end=\"1731\">She stressed the need for proactive and coordinated efforts to make the IT City a center of innovation, investment, and job creation in Punjab.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1262\" data-end=\"1731\">Her vision is for the Nawaz Sharif IT City to become a leading technological and economic hub.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif chaired a key meeting to review progress on the Nawaz Sharif IT City, a flagship project aimed at technological advancement in Punjab.
