Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has decided to approve the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) budget for the fiscal year 2025-26, a strategic move aimed at preventing any federal intervention that could threaten the continuity of its provincial government.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This crucial decision was finalized during a high-level PTI parliamentary party meeting held on Sunday at the Chief Minister\u2019s House in Peshawar.<\/p>\n

The party leadership emphasized unity and resolve to maintain governance in KP amidst growing political tension with the federal government.<\/p>\n

Unified Support at Parliamentary Party Meeting<\/h3>\n

The meeting was attended by senior PTI figures, including Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Omar Ayub, Senator Shibli Faraz, party spokesperson Sheikh Waqas Akram, and KP\u2019s provincial general secretary Ali Asghar Khan.<\/p>\n

All parliamentary members present were consulted, and the decision to support the budget was passed unanimously.<\/p>\n

Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur told members that the federal government is deliberately creating financial instability in KP and could use a failed budget as grounds to declare an economic emergency in the province.<\/p>\n

He highlighted that approving the budget would foil what he described as a politically motivated conspiracy against the PTI-led government.<\/p>\n

Budget May See Revisions Post PTI Founder Meeting<\/h3>\n

CM Gandapur further noted that while the budget is being passed in its current form, revisions could be made following consultation with the party\u2019s founder.<\/p>\n

Efforts are underway to facilitate this meeting to ensure the party\u2019s vision and priorities are reflected in the final fiscal plan.<\/p>\n

He assured party members that the people\u2019s mandate in KP will be safeguarded at all costs and that governance must remain uninterrupted.<\/p>\n

The budget approval comes at a critical time as PTI seeks to stabilize its provincial administration amid mounting pressure from the center.<\/p>\n
