ISLAMABAD:Israel\u2019s Defence Minister, Israel Katz, announced on Tuesday that he has directed the military to launch strikes on Tehran in response to alleged missile launches by Iran, which he said violated the ceasefire recently announced by US President Donald Trump.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The alleged missile activity occurred just hours after Trump declared, \u201cTHE CEASEFIRE<\/a> <\/strong>IS NOW IN EFFECT. PLEASE DO NOT VIOLATE IT!\u201d<\/p>\n

However, Iranian authorities formally denied any post-ceasefire missile launches and stated that no projectiles were fired towards Israel in recent hours, according to Iran\u2019s Nour News.<\/p>\n

High-Intensity Retaliation Ordered<\/h4>\n

Katz emphasized that Israel would proceed with \u201chigh-intensity operations targeting regime assets and terror infrastructure in Tehran.\u201d<\/p>\n

He described Iran\u2019s actions as a \u201cblatant violation\u201d of the US-brokered truce.<\/p>\n

Israel\u2019s Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, reaffirmed that the country had achieved its military goals \u2014 dismantling Iran\u2019s nuclear and missile threats \u2014 and thanked Trump and the United States for their support during the operation.<\/p>\n

Iran\u2019s Defiance and Ongoing Tensions<\/h4>\n

Iran\u2019s Supreme National Security Council claimed it had forced Israel into a ceasefire and warned that its forces remain at the ready to respond to any future aggression.<\/p>\n

Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi reiterated that Iran would halt retaliatory attacks<\/a><\/strong> only if Israel ceased its aggression by 4:00\u202fa.m. Tehran time.<\/p>\n

He stressed that Iran\u2019s nuclear program is strictly for peaceful purposes and reiterated its denial of seeking nuclear weapons.<\/p>\n
