{"id":4272,"date":"2025-06-27T09:36:54","date_gmt":"2025-06-27T04:36:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/youdigital.pk\/en\/?p=4272"},"modified":"2025-06-27T09:47:30","modified_gmt":"2025-06-27T04:47:30","slug":"muharram-moon-sighted-ashura-to-be-observed-on-july-6","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/youdigital.pk\/en\/2025\/06\/27\/muharram-moon-sighted-ashura-to-be-observed-on-july-6","title":{"rendered":"Muharram Moon Sighted, Ashura to Be Observed on July 6"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"60\" data-end=\"338\"><strong data-start=\"60\" data-end=\"74\">ISLAMABAD: <\/strong>The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee has officially announced the sighting of the Muharram moon, marking the beginning of the Islamic New Year 1447H on Friday, June 27.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"60\" data-end=\"338\">As a result, the 10th of Muharram\u2014Ashura\u2014will be observed on Sunday, July 6 across Pakistan.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"340\" data-end=\"1035\"><strong data-start=\"340\" data-end=\"378\">Significance and Security Measures<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"340\" data-end=\"1035\">Muharram, one of the four sacred months in Islam, holds immense religious and historical significance for Muslims around the world.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"340\" data-end=\"1035\">To ensure safety and order during this sacred month, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi chaired a high-level meeting to review the national security strategy.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"340\" data-end=\"1035\">The meeting assessed Muharram arrangements across all provinces, including Azad Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Islamabad.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"340\" data-end=\"1035\">It was decided that strict action would be taken against individuals promoting hate speech online.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"340\" data-end=\"1035\">Additionally, the potential suspension of internet and mobile services will be considered after consultations with provincial governments.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1037\" data-end=\"1518\"><strong data-start=\"1037\" data-end=\"1092\">Tech-Enabled Monitoring and Nationwide Coordination<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1037\" data-end=\"1518\">Minister Naqvi emphasized that all law enforcement and monitoring efforts will incorporate the latest technology for tracking Muharram processions and majalis.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1037\" data-end=\"1518\">He reiterated the federal government&#8217;s full cooperation with provincial administrations to ensure law and order.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1037\" data-end=\"1518\">\u201cNo one will be allowed to take the law into their own hands,\u201d he stated, adding that coordinated decisions with all stakeholders will be ensured.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1520\" data-end=\"1681\">Earlier, Pakistan\u2019s space agency SUPARCO had predicted the Muharram moon would likely be visible on June 26, based on its calculated birth on June 25 at 3:32 PM.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee has officially announced the sighting of the Muharram moon, marking the beginning of the Islamic New Year 1447H on Friday, June 27.
