ISLAMABAD: Karachi traffic police have announced a pause in their ongoing campaign against unregistered vehicles and those lacking excise-issued number plates, offering temporary relief to the public during Muharram.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The\u00a0<\/span><\/span>decision\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>was\u00a0<\/span><\/span>made\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>in\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>light\u00a0<\/span><\/span>of\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>Ashura\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>activities\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>and\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>is\u00a0<\/span><\/span>intended\u00a0<\/span><\/span>to\u00a0<\/span><\/span>minimize\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>disturbances\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>and\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>ease\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>public\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>mobility\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>throughout\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>the\u00a0<\/span><\/span>holy\u00a0<\/span><\/span>month.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The crackdown will remain suspended until July 15.<\/p>\n

Citizens Urged to Register Vehicles Promptly<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to a traffic police spokesperson, the grace period is intended to give vehicle owners enough time to get proper registration and affix the official number plates.<\/p>\n

Although enforcement is on hold, the department has strongly advised all drivers to use this time wisely and complete the necessary procedures.<\/p>\n

Authorities have attempted to make known that this is \u00a0limited relaxation rather than an everlasting exemption.<\/p>\n

Strict Action to Resume After Deadline<\/strong><\/p>\n

The spokesperson further clarified that after July 15, the crackdown will resume in full force.<\/p>\n

Vehicles found without valid registration or proper number plates will be subject to fines or seizure.<\/p>\n
