Lahore :Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has approved a landmark educational project aimed at bringing learning resources directly to underserved areas through School on Wheels and Mobile Library services.<\/p>\n
Under the plan, specially designed solar-powered electric rickshaws will serve as mobile classrooms. These Schools on Wheels will travel to remote and difficult-to-access regions, where teachers will set up temporary outdoor classes using umbrellas, foldable chairs, and portable teaching materials.<\/p>\n
Children will be provided with textbooks, drawing supplies, and educational toys to encourage learning through fun and creativity.<\/p>\n
In addition, Library on Wheels vans \u2014 designed with colorful, cartoon-themed exteriors \u2014 will visit neighborhoods to offer access to storybooks and educational content beyond the school syllabus. These vans can be stationed in parks, fields, or open grounds.<\/p>\n
A more advanced Mobile Library bus is also part of the initiative. It will feature proper seating and reading areas, filled with books in Urdu, English, science, and children’s magazines. This is part of CM Maryam Nawaz’s educational vision, “Parho Gay To Barho Gay” (Read to Rise).<\/p>\n
