Kabul :<\/strong> The Afghan interim administration<\/strong> has reaffirmed its commitment that Afghanistan’s territory will not be used as a launching pad for hostile activities against Pakistan or any other country<\/strong>. The assurance came during a high-level diplomatic meeting held in the Afghan capital.<\/p>\n

The pledge was made during bilateral talks between Pakistan\u2019s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Ishaq Dar<\/strong>, and Afghan Acting Foreign Minister, Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi<\/strong>. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 6th Trilateral Foreign Ministers\u2019 Dialogue<\/strong> involving China, Pakistan, and Afghanistan<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

According to Pakistan\u2019s Ministry of Foreign Affairs<\/strong>, both sides engaged in comprehensive discussions, covering a wide spectrum of topics including regional security, counterterrorism cooperation, trade, transit, and broader bilateral engagement<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Highlighting recent diplomatic progress, both ministers welcomed the decision to upgrade diplomatic representation<\/strong> from charg\u00e9 d\u2019affaires to full ambassadors<\/strong>, signaling a new chapter in bilateral ties.<\/p>\n

They also noted with satisfaction the implementation of most outcomes from previous engagements \u2014 particularly the visits to Kabul in April and July 2025<\/strong>, and the Beijing trilateral meeting<\/strong> \u2014 which have contributed to enhanced trade and transit cooperation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

While appreciating the positive trajectory of relations, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar emphasized the urgency of concrete and verifiable counterterrorism measures<\/strong>. He drew attention to the recent wave of terrorist attacks inside Pakistan<\/strong>, allegedly perpetrated by groups such as the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP)<\/strong> and the Balochistan Liberation Army\u2019s (BLA) Majid Brigade<\/strong>, reportedly operating from Afghan territory.<\/p>\n

In response, Minister Muttaqi reiterated Kabul\u2019s firm stance<\/strong> that no militant group would be allowed to operate from Afghan soil against Pakistan or any other nation<\/strong>, underlining the interim government\u2019s desire for peaceful and cooperative regional relations.<\/p>\n
