The petitioners had requested an <strong data-start=\"653\" data-end=\"671\">urgent hearing<\/strong> in hopes of stopping the match from going ahead.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"722\" data-end=\"1089\">However, the Supreme Court firmly rejected the request, stating that the match is a <strong data-start=\"806\" data-end=\"832\">routine sporting event<\/strong> and does not pose any threat to national security or public order. The court ruled that there is <strong data-start=\"930\" data-end=\"948\">no legal basis<\/strong> to interfere in the organization of an international cricket match and stressed the importance of <strong data-start=\"1047\" data-end=\"1088\">keeping sports separate from politics<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<blockquote data-start=\"1091\" data-end=\"1237\">\n<p data-start=\"1093\" data-end=\"1237\">\u201cThis is a regular match in a scheduled tournament.
