Gilgit-Baltistan:\u00a0<\/strong>In a speech at the ceremony commemorating Gilgit-Baltistan\u2019s liberation from Dogra rule, former President Asif Ali Zardari emphasized the ongoing oppression of Muslims in India and the long-standing brutality faced by Kashmiris under Indian occupation. He reminded the audience that 1,700 young men from Gilgit-Baltistan sacrificed their lives in the 1947 war, and their sacrifices continue to inspire the region.<\/p>\n

President Zardari stated that China is Pakistan\u2019s ally and partner, and the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) symbolizes Pakistan’s development. He highlighted that CPEC Phase 2 is progressing successfully, furthering economic ties between the two countries.<\/p>\n

Zardari also stressed the importance of improving education, healthcare, and basic infrastructure in Gilgit-Baltistan. He emphasized that every valley in the region should have schools, healthcare centers, and airport facilities. According to him, “The development of Gilgit-Baltistan is linked to the progress of Pakistan.”<\/p>\n

During the ceremony, Sindh Governor Syed Mehdi Shah presented President Zardari with a traditional cap, and the president also inspected the parade.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
