According to officials, the road and transport project will require an investment of $46 billion, aiming to alleviate traffic pressure across the country.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"631\" data-end=\"779\">Under this ambitious plan, key highways will be expanded, public transport systems will be improved, and high-speed rail projects will be initiated.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"781\" data-end=\"945\">Officials revealed that the UAE\u2019s Al Ittihad Road will be expanded to 12 lanes, while Emirates Road and Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road will be widened to 10 lanes.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"947\" data-end=\"1083\">The new initiative is expected to increase road capacity by 45 to 65%, significantly reducing travel times for commuters once completed.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1085\" data-end=\"1269\">With the UAE\u2019s population reaching 11 million and Dubai\u2019s population exceeding 4 million, the government is taking proactive measures to improve mobility and accommodate future growth.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dubai: The United Arab Emirates has introduced a new road and transport plan to address the growing population and traffic congestion issues.
