Islamabad:\u00a0<\/strong>Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar<\/strong> has announced that the draft of the 27th Constitutional Amendment<\/strong> will be presented in the Senate<\/strong> today. Following its introduction in the Senate, the bill will also be referred to the relevant committee for a comprehensive review of its legal and administrative aspects.<\/p>\n

According to the Law Minister, after the bill is presented in the Senate, it will be sent to the committee for detailed discussions on each of its provisions. Azam Nazeer Tarar<\/strong> confirmed that consultations with the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP)<\/strong>, Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM)<\/strong>, and other coalition partners have already been completed to ensure consensus on all aspects of the constitutional amendment.<\/p>\n

He further explained that an agreement had been reached on the establishment of the Federal Constitutional Court<\/strong>, and the transfer of judicial powers related to judges’ transfers will be entrusted to the Judicial Commission of Pakistan<\/strong>, which will include the Chief Justices of both High Courts.<\/p>\n

The Law Minister also revealed that under the constitutional amendment, the election of the Senate Chairman and Deputy Chairman<\/strong> will take place every three years. Furthermore, in future elections, Senate members will be elected from across the country in a single round<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
