Rawalpindi :<\/strong> In a major security operation, Pakistani forces have successfully eliminated 11 terrorists linked to the Indian-backed militant group Fitna Al Khwarij<\/em> in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), the military\u2019s media branch reported on Saturday.<\/p>\n

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), an intelligence-driven operation (IBO) was launched in North Waziristan District. The operation led to intense combat with the militants, culminating in the death of six terrorists. The forces also recovered weapons and ammunition from the militants.<\/p>\n

In a separate joint operation involving both police and security forces in Kurram District, another firefight resulted in the killing of five more terrorists. The operation, which followed a precise intelligence assessment, aimed to dismantle terrorist cells operating in the region.<\/p>\n

The ISPR statement confirmed that these terrorists, who were allegedly sponsored by foreign elements, were involved in multiple attacks against law enforcement, security forces, and innocent civilians, including targeted killings.<\/p>\n

The military further assured that efforts to clear the region of any remaining militants are ongoing, with special sanitization operations in place to neutralize all potential threats. The operation is a key part of Pakistan\u2019s ongoing counterterrorism strategy under the “Azm-e-Istehkam” vision, which seeks to eliminate foreign-backed terrorism.<\/p>\n

Both President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif commended the security forces for their successful operations. President Zardari praised the dedication and professionalism of the forces in ensuring the safety of the citizens. In his statement, Prime Minister Sharif lauded the continuous vigilance and courage of the armed forces and police, asserting that with such unwavering commitment, no external threat would succeed in destabilizing Pakistan.<\/p>\n

Both leaders reiterated Pakistan’s steadfast resolve to counter terrorism and protect the nation’s sovereignty from any foreign-backed aggression.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
