Islamabad :<\/strong> World Radio Day<\/strong> is being celebrated worldwide, including in Pakistan, to emphasize radio\u2019s crucial role in educating, informing, and connecting people across cultures.<\/p>\n

The theme for 2026<\/strong> is “Radio and Artificial Intelligence,”<\/strong> highlighting how AI can enhance broadcasting, improve content management, and boost accessibility, all while maintaining radio\u2019s unique human connection.<\/p>\n

In his message, President Asif Ali Zardari<\/strong> praised radio for its unparalleled ability to bridge geographical and cultural divides. He acknowledged the dedication of radio professionals and underscored the medium\u2019s ongoing importance, particularly as AI continues to shape its future. The President pointed out that this year\u2019s theme showcases the growing synergy between radio and artificial intelligence.<\/p>\n

President Zardari also emphasized Radio Pakistan\u2019s<\/strong> pivotal role in providing trustworthy information, promoting cultural heritage, and reflecting the diversity of Pakistan\u2019s languages and viewpoints. He recognized its vital contribution during times of crisis, from natural disasters to rapid social transformations, and its continued commitment to fostering dialogue within society. Broadcasting in 26 languages<\/strong>, Radio Pakistan remains a trusted source of credible news, public service announcements, and cultural programming.<\/p>\n

In a similar message, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif<\/strong> highlighted his government\u2019s push to modernize Radio Pakistan<\/strong>, integrating it with cutting-edge technologies like AI. He reiterated the government’s focus on fostering innovation in the Digital Pakistan Vision<\/strong>, aiming to position the country as a leader in knowledge and technology.<\/p>\n

Reflecting on Radio Pakistan\u2019s historic legacy, PM Shehbaz acknowledged its role as a unifying force, providing accessible information since the nation\u2019s founding.
