Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has approved a restructuring plan for the Public-Private Partnership Authority with the aim of improving efficiency and speeding up development projects carried out under the PPP model.<\/p>\n
He presided over a review meeting in Islamabad focused on reforms and performance of the Public-Private Partnership framework.<\/p>\n
Under the approved changes, the authority will now operate under the Privatization Division. The decision is intended to streamline administrative processes, modernize the system, and enhance the execution of current and future development initiatives.<\/p>\n
The prime minister directed that ministries and relevant departments should build stronger institutional capacity to effectively plan and implement projects under public-private partnerships.<\/p>\n
He further instructed that PPP-based projects be incorporated into the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of ministries and departments to ensure better accountability and measurable performance outcomes.<\/p>\n
Shehbaz Sharif reiterated the government\u2019s commitment to increasing transparency, improving governance, and strengthening the effectiveness of the PPP mechanism through ongoing reforms.<\/p>\n
