Tehran\/Islamabad : Pakistan\u2019s diplomatic efforts aimed at reducing regional tensions are reportedly gaining traction, as the United States has formally shared its response to Iran\u2019s 14-point peace proposal through Islamabad, according to Iran\u2019s Foreign Ministry.<\/p>\n

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei told reporters that Tehran has received the US reply and that it is currently under detailed review by experts.<\/p>\n

He explained that Iran\u2019s 14-point initiative is centered on ending ongoing regional conflicts and promoting lasting peace and stability.<\/p>\n

Baghaei clarified that the ongoing exchanges are not linked to Iran\u2019s nuclear programme or any nuclear negotiations, stressing that the focus remains strictly on de-escalation and conflict resolution in the region.<\/p>\n

Diplomatic sources said Pakistan is serving as an important communication channel between Tehran and Washington due to the lack of direct diplomatic contact between the two sides.<\/p>\n

The fact that the US response was routed through Islamabad is being seen as an indication of trust in Pakistan\u2019s role as a facilitator in regional diplomacy.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
