Canberra :<\/strong> The Royal Military College (RMC) Duntroon in Australia has awarded the title of \u201cOverall Best Foreign Military Cadet\u201d to Pakistani Army Cadet Sardar Arsam Abbas during the passing out parade held in Canberra, according to the military\u2019s media wing.<\/p>\n

As per the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the distinction is granted to the highest-achieving foreign cadet based on overall performance throughout training. The statement highlighted that this achievement reflects exceptional discipline, professionalism, and leadership qualities within the Pakistan Army\u2019s junior ranks.<\/p>\n

The graduation ceremony was presided over by Australian Chief of Army Lieutenant General Simon Stuart, AO DSC. The event was attended by diplomatic representatives, including Pakistan\u2019s High Commissioner in Canberra, families of graduating cadets, and senior officials of the Australian Defence Force.<\/p>\n

Pakistan and Australia continue to maintain strong military ties. Since 2013, seven Pakistan Army officers have served as platoon commanders at RMC, while 46 cadets from Pakistan have completed their training from the institution since 2009.<\/p>\n

This marks the 14th occasion a Pakistani cadet has received the top foreign cadet award. One of the past honourees was Lieutenant Nasir Hussain Khalid Selhria Shaheed, Tamgha-e-Basalat, who was martyred in North Waziristan on 4 September 2020.<\/p>\n

The name of Lieutenant Nasir Shaheed is inscribed on a memorial at the RMC parade ground, representing the enduring legacy of bravery, sacrifice, and honour associated with Pakistan Army officers.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
