{"id":8558,"date":"2026-08-05T20:20:50","date_gmt":"2026-08-05T15:20:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/youdigital.pk\/en\/?p=8558"},"modified":"2026-08-05T20:20:50","modified_gmt":"2026-08-05T15:20:50","slug":"ishaq-dar-holds-talks-with-jordanian-and-somali-foreign-ministers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/youdigital.pk\/en\/2026\/08\/05\/ishaq-dar-holds-talks-with-jordanian-and-somali-foreign-ministers","title":{"rendered":"Ishaq Dar holds talks with Jordanian and Somali foreign ministers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Amman :<\/strong> Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar held separate bilateral meetings with the foreign ministers of Jordan and Somalia on Wednesday on the sidelines of the Ministerial Meeting on Jerusalem in Amman, discussing the rapidly changing situation in the Middle East, developments in Jerusalem and the Occupied Palestinian Territories, as well as avenues for strengthening Pakistan\u2019s ties with both countries.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Foreign Office, Dar met Jordan\u2019s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Safadi, where the two leaders exchanged views on the worsening humanitarian and security situation in the Occupied West Bank. Dar commended Jordan\u2019s longstanding role in safeguarding the Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem and appreciated Amman\u2019s continued support for the Palestinian cause.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting also covered broader regional developments, including recent events involving Iran and the United States. Both leaders stressed that dialogue and diplomacy are the only viable path to reducing tensions and preventing further instability in the region.<\/p>\n<p>They expressed satisfaction over the positive trajectory of Pakistan-Jordan relations and agreed to enhance collaboration across a range of sectors, including politics, defence, trade, education, culture and people-to-people exchanges. The two sides also reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining close coordination at regional and international forums, including the United Nations and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), to promote peace and stability.<\/p>\n<p>On the sidelines of the meeting, Dar also held talks with Somalia\u2019s Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Abdisalam Abdi Ali.
