The visit comes as Pakistan continues diplomatic efforts aimed at supporting peace and stability in the region.<\/p>\n<p>The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) had earlier confirmed that Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir was travelling to Iran alongside Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi. The military\u2019s media wing said the visit was part of Pakistan\u2019s broader efforts to contribute to regional peace and stability.<\/p>\n<p>According to the ISPR, discussions during the visit are expected to focus on developments in the region, particularly the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. The Pakistani delegation is expected to explore diplomatic avenues and discuss ways to support efforts aimed at reducing tensions and promoting a peaceful resolution.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDuring the visit, the Field Marshal will focus on promoting efforts towards a peaceful, lasting and comprehensive resolution of the conflict in the Middle East,\u201d the ISPR said.<\/p>\n<p>The visit reflects Pakistan\u2019s continued engagement with regional countries on matters concerning peace, security and stability. Tehran is an important regional partner for Islamabad, and discussions between Pakistani and Iranian officials are expected to cover issues of mutual interest as well as the wider regional situation.<\/p>\n<p>Field Marshal Munir\u2019s visit, alongside the interior minister, also highlights the importance Islamabad attaches to diplomatic coordination at a time of heightened tensions in the Middle East.<\/p>\n<p>The Pakistani side is expected to hold meetings with senior Iranian officials during the visit, with regional security and ongoing developments likely to remain among the key issues under discussion.
