{"id":8693,"date":"2026-08-31T23:25:02","date_gmt":"2026-08-31T18:25:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/youdigital.pk\/en\/?p=8693"},"modified":"2026-08-31T23:25:02","modified_gmt":"2026-08-31T18:25:02","slug":"field-marshal-asim-munir-holds-key-meetings-with-turkish-saudi-officials","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/youdigital.pk\/en\/2026\/08\/31\/field-marshal-asim-munir-holds-key-meetings-with-turkish-saudi-officials","title":{"rendered":"Field Marshal Asim Munir holds key meetings with Turkish, Saudi officials"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Rawalpindi :<\/strong> Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Field Marshal <strong>Syed Asim Munir<\/strong> held a series of high-level meetings in Istanbul during his official visit to T\u00fcrkiye.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Field Marshal Asim Munir separately met <strong>Saudi Defence Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud<\/strong>, Turkish Foreign Minister <strong>Hakan Fidan<\/strong>, Turkish National Defence Minister <strong>Ya\u015far G\u00fcler<\/strong>, and Chief of the Turkish General Staff <strong>General Sel\u00e7uk Bayraktaro\u011flu<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The meetings focused on matters of shared interest, strengthening defence ties between the countries and developments concerning the regional security situation.<\/p>\n<p>The Army Chief and CDF also participated in a session of the <strong>Strategic Political and Defence Committee<\/strong> established under the <strong>Makkah Joint Defence Agreement<\/strong>, which brings together Pakistan, T\u00fcrkiye and Saudi Arabia.<\/p>\n<p>During the trilateral meeting, the participants examined ways to enhance strategic coordination and expand defence cooperation among the three countries.<\/p>\n<p>According to ISPR, the high-level engagements highlighted the strong fraternal relations between Pakistan, T\u00fcrkiye and Saudi Arabia, while reflecting their growing cooperation in strategic and defence affairs.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Rawalpindi : Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir held a series of high-level meetings in Istanbul during his official visit to T\u00fcrkiye.
