Karachi : A major development has occurred in the murder case of actress Humaira Asghar, who was killed in the Defence area of Karachi. The investigation team has recorded the statement of another key witness , a close friend of the actress.
According to SSP South, the investigation team is expected to submit its final report later this week.
Police sources say that Humaira had contacted a showbiz producer in Islamabad and was reportedly facing difficulties due to lack of work. Her friend, who was about to leave for Umrah, had spoken to her for the last time and had asked for prayers regarding her career.
However, no concrete evidence of murder has been recovered from the crime scene, and further investigation is expected based on the findings of the upcoming report.
