Federal information minister Attaullah Tarar nominated for Sitara-i-Imtiaz

Islamabad : The federal government has nominated Information Minister Attaullah Tarar for the “Sitara-i-Imtiaz” (Star of Excellence), in recognition of his outstanding efforts in articulating Pakistan’s position at the highest level amid tensions with India.

Sources indicate that during the conflict, both Minister Tarar and Principal Information Officer (PIO) Mubasher Hasan successfully conveyed Pakistan’s narrative to the international media. The Pakistan Armed Forces recommended both officials for this prestigious honor.

The Sitara-i-Imtiaz is Pakistan’s third-highest civilian and military decoration, awarded annually on Pakistan Day (March 23) to individuals who have rendered distinguished service to the nation.

Analysts say Minister Tarar’s effective leadership in media communication during critical moments played a pivotal role in shaping global perception of Pakistan’s stance.
