Pakistan Army remains focused on internal and external challenges: Field Marshal Asim Munir

Rawalpindi: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir recently visited the Gujranwala and Sialkot Garrisons to review operational readiness and strengthen combat preparedness.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), upon his arrival, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir was briefed on the formation’s operational status and key initiatives. He was given an overview of efforts aimed at enhancing combat readiness and reinforcing the army’s defensive capabilities.

The Field Marshal observed a field training exercise and toured the advanced simulator training facility, commending the formation’s professionalism and overall preparedness. He acknowledged the high standards of training and the state-of-the-art technology employed in preparing the troops for modern combat.

During his interactions with officers and soldiers, the COAS & CDF praised their unwavering morale and dedication to national security. He stressed the importance of rigorous, mission-oriented training to meet both current and future challenges. He also highlighted the significance of technological adaptability in modern warfare, which demands agility, precision, situational awareness, and rapid decision-making.

The Field Marshal reaffirmed that the Pakistan Army remains fully focused on addressing both internal and external challenges, including hostile hybrid warfare, extremist ideologies, and divisive elements attempting to destabilize the nation.

Upon his arrival at Gujranwala, the COAS & CDF was warmly received by the Corps Commander of Gujranwala.
