ISLAMABAD: Actress Nadia Afgan has recently found herself in controversy after making critical remarks about actor Feroze Khan during her appearance on the TV review show Kya Drama Hai.
Following her candid comments, Nadia revealed she has received serious threats from some of Feroze Khan’s fans.
Nadia’s Critical Remarks and Fan Backlash
Although Nadia Afgan has never worked directly with Feroze Khan, she shared on the show that she has heard from other actors that Feroze is a challenging colleague. “I’ve heard from actresses that he tries to intimidate his co-stars and is hard to work with,” she said. She also criticised his acting style, suggesting that he seems more concerned about maintaining his public image than genuinely getting into his roles.
According to Nadia, his on-screen performances often appear to be extensions of his real personality rather than nuanced portrayals, which disappointed her.
The actress’s comments sparked a heated response online. While some viewers praised her honesty, many fans of Feroze Khan strongly defended him and criticised Nadia for making personal remarks without having worked with him. “You should only critique someone’s acting, not their personality,” wrote one social media user. Another said, “If you haven’t worked with him, don’t make it personal.”
Threats and Industry Support
In the aftermath of the backlash, Nadia Afgan disclosed that she has received alarming death threats from anonymous fans. “They told me, ‘We will kill you,’ and ‘You don’t know how to act,’” she shared. Nadia condemned the toxic culture behind such anonymous threats, stating, “At least show your face if you’re going to threaten someone.”
Despite the negativity, Nadia has also been supported by fellow actors and writers, who appreciated her candid reviews. Her experience highlights the dark side of fan culture and online harassment faced by public figures today.
