India’s Proxy War Now Open Aggression in Balochistan: Asim Munir
QUETTA: Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has strongly accused India of operating behind terrorist networks in Balochistan, calling it not just a covert operation anymore, but an act of open aggression. Speaking during a grand tribal Jirga in Quetta, he emphasized that Pakistan is fully prepared to counter every threat to its territorial integrity and internal peace.
According to the Army Chief, India’s strategy of destabilizing Pakistan through proxy groups has now become blatant and hostile. “Every conspiracy—internal or external—will be crushed. The Pakistan Army stands ready to eliminate all threats to peace in Balochistan,” he declared, receiving full support from tribal elders attending the gathering.
Pakistan’s Future is Inseparable from Balochistan
Field Marshal Munir stressed that Balochistan holds the key to Pakistan’s long-term prosperity, noting that any attempt to destabilize the province is essentially an attack on the nation’s future. He highlighted that maintaining peace and development in the region is not a matter of compromise.
The tribal elders in attendance expressed their complete support for the government and armed forces. They pledged to stand united against all enemies and uphold national security. Their show of solidarity was seen as a strong message to those seeking to create divisions within the province.
PM Reaffirms Support for Balochistan’s Development
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who was also in Quetta, echoed the Army Chief’s remarks and underlined that terrorism would never be tolerated under any circumstances. He reiterated that the grievances of the people of Balochistan could be resolved through dialogue, not violence.
PM Shehbaz also announced that 25% of the upcoming Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) will be allocated specifically for Balochistan’s development. Referring to the Pakistani military’s strong response to recent Indian attacks on May 6, 7, and 10, he congratulated the armed forces for showing exemplary courage, saying the enemy would remember this response “for a lifetime.”
