ISLAMABAD: Fans of the iconic MI6 agent James Bond got a thrilling preview as developer IO Interactive released the first trailer for the upcoming game, ‘007 First Light.’

Unveiled during Sony’s State Of Play event, the trailer introduces a younger version of Bond, offering an origin story that explores his early days before becoming the legendary spy.

An Origin Story with New Characters

‘007 First Light’ chronicles Bond’s beginnings as a Royal Navy air crewman who is recruited into MI6 following a daring act of bravery.

The game promises fresh perspectives by introducing new versions of classic characters including M, Q, and Moneypenny.

Additionally, Lennie James, known for ‘The Walking Dead,’ is cast as Greenway, Bond’s mentor, guiding him through the intense world of espionage.

The storyline sets the stage for an exciting trilogy developed in collaboration with Amazon MGM Studios.

Immersive Gameplay and Next-Gen Features

Players can expect a dynamic mix of intense combat, stealth, high-speed driving, and advanced gadgetry powered by IO Interactive’s Glacier engine.

The game will launch exclusively on PlayStation 5 in 2026, with enhancements for PlayStation 5 Pro ensuring smooth performance at 60 frames per second in Quality Mode.

While the actor voicing Bond is yet to be confirmed, fans have noticed similarities to Patrick Gibson, known for ‘Dexter: Original Sin.’

With its combination of cinematic storytelling and cutting-edge gameplay, ‘007 First Light’ aims to capture the spirit of the legendary spy while delivering an immersive experience for both new and longtime fans.
