ISLAMABAD: Hollywood superstar Keanu Reeves has openly praised Ana de Armas as she makes her entry into the ‘John Wick’ universe with the action-packed film ‘Ballerina,’ released on June 6.
Reeves reprises his iconic role as the retired assassin John Wick, while the film explores events occurring between ‘John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum’ and ‘Chapter 4,’ offering a fresh narrative within the same universe.
Expanding the John Wick Universe
Director Len Wiseman described ‘Ballerina’ as a parallel story rather than a traditional sequel or spinoff, highlighting its unique place in the franchise timeline.
Keanu Reeves acknowledged that the film lays the foundation for further expansion, introducing new characters and enriching the world of John Wick. “It’s definitely part of expanding the story and the world of John Wick and getting another chance to explore new characters,” Reeves said in a recent interview.

Reeves praised Ana de Armas not only for her impressive action skills but also for her emotional depth and bravery in taking on challenging roles.
