Pakistan Rejects India’s “Baseless” Claims on Pahalgam Attack at UN

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has categorically rejected India’s allegations regarding the recent attack in Pahalgam, dismissing them as “politically motivated and factually incorrect” during a session at the United Nations in Geneva.

Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Khalil Hashmi, countered Indian accusations by presenting evidence of New Delhi’s own history of staging false-flag operations to malign Islamabad.

Pakistan Exposes India’s Propaganda

Ambassador Hashmi highlighted India’s long record of using terrorism as a political tool, citing its involvement in subversive activities across the region.

He reminded the UN forum of India’s 2019 Balakot misadventure, which was based on fabricated claims and later exposed as an electoral stunt.

The Pakistani envoy also referenced India’s state-sponsored terrorism in occupied Kashmir and its support for anti-Pakistan militant groups operating from Afghan soil.

Call for Independent Investigation

Pakistan demanded an impartial, UN-led probe into the Pahalgam incident to uncover the truth behind the attack.

Ambassador Hashmi warned against India’s attempts to divert global attention from its brutal repression in IIOJK, where over 100,000 Kashmiris have been martyred since 1989.

He urged the international community to hold India accountable for its war crimes in Kashmir instead of entertaining its propaganda against Pakistan.
