Lahore : In light of heavy rainfall, the Punjab government has imposed Section 144 across the province to proactively address the risk of potential flooding.
According to a notification issued by the Punjab Home Department, a complete ban has been imposed on swimming and boating in dams, rivers, ponds, and lakes throughout the province.
The notification further states that bathing in rainwater accumulated on streets, roads, and public areas is also strictly prohibited. These preventive measures have been taken to ensure public safety and prevent loss of life and property.
Section 144 restrictions will be enforced through August 30.
Citizens have been urged to strictly follow government guidelines and exercise caution to stay safe.
