ECC approves industrial estate on steel mills land

Islamabad: The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) has approved the establishment of an industrial estate on 3,200 acres of land of Karachi Steel Mills. The decision was announced during a meeting chaired by Federal Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb.

The meeting approved several important economic decisions, including a technical supplementary grant of Rs 282 crore for Pakistan Television (PTV). This grant will be used for the establishment of a new English news channel, as well as for paying employees’ salaries and pensions.

Furthermore, the ECC also approved technical supplementary grants for various projects related to climate change to provide funding for these important initiatives and tackle climate challenges.

Federal Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb stated in the meeting that establishing the industrial estate on Karachi Steel Mills land will not only boost industrial activities but also create employment opportunities. He added that this initiative will help strengthen the national economy.
