Lahore: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has entered into an engineering services agreement with SriLankan Airlines, under which PIA will provide technical support at Lahore Airport.
As per the agreement, PIA will offer engineering assistance to four weekly SriLankan Airlines flights operating through Lahore. This partnership reflects growing international trust in PIA’s engineering capabilities.
PIA officials stated that this agreement is a significant step toward generating valuable foreign exchange for the country and further expanding the national carrier’s engineering service portfolio.
A modest ceremony was held onboard a SriLankan Airlines aircraft at Lahore Airport, where cake was cut in celebration, with crew members from both airlines in attendance.
According to PIA’s spokesperson, the airline’s engineering division already provides high-quality services to multiple domestic and international carriers, and this new collaboration further strengthens its global presence.
