Islamabad: The Election Commission will hold a meeting today to review preparations for local government elections in Punjab.
The meeting will include the Chief Secretary of Punjab and the Secretary of Local Government. The agenda will cover issues such as constituency delimitations, demarcation rules, and other administrative and legal matters. With the implementation of the new Local Government Act 2025, local elections are expected to begin soon.
