Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held a significant meeting with General Fayyadh bin Hameed Al Rowaili, the Chief of General Staff of Saudi Arabia’s Armed Forces, where both leaders emphasized their shared commitment to further strengthening the ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
During their discussions, the Prime Minister expressed his best wishes to the Saudi leadership and reiterated Pakistan’s dedication to enhancing bilateral relations. He acknowledged Saudi Arabia’s steadfast support for Pakistan, noting that the two nations’ relationship is built on common values, mutual trust, and enduring cooperation. The Prime Minister also highlighted the success of his recent visits to Riyadh, which have helped solidify the partnership between the two countries.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to expanding defense collaboration, emphasizing the importance of deepening strategic ties in the defense sector. In response, General Al Rowaili conveyed a message of congratulations from the Saudi leadership to the Prime Minister and the people of Pakistan, underlining Saudi Arabia’s intent to elevate defense and strategic cooperation with Pakistan to new heights.
The meeting was attended by senior officials including Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif, Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi, and other high-ranking officials from both countries.
The two leaders discussed ways to enhance bilateral defense cooperation, strengthen security partnerships, and collaborate on regional security matters. They reaffirmed their mutual commitment to advancing the relationship and reinforcing defense collaboration between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
