President Zardari approves permanent appointments of 11 Lahore High Court judges

Islamabad : President Asif Ali Zardari has given his approval for the permanent appointments of 11 additional judges to the Lahore High Court. Following the approval, the Ministry of Law has formally issued a notification confirming the permanent status of these judges.

According to the Ministry of Law, after receiving the President’s consent, these judges have now officially been appointed on a permanent basis. Additionally, an extension of six months has been granted to Justice Tariq Mehmood Bajwa, an additional judge, extending his tenure.

Sources indicate that this decision was made in line with constitutional requirements and was based on recommendations from both the Judicial Commission and the Parliamentary Committee. The process adhered to the established legal framework for judicial appointments and tenure extensions.

With the official notification now in effect, the appointed judges will begin their permanent roles, and Justice Tariq Mehmood Bajwa will continue his service for an extended period, ensuring the continuation of efficient judicial operations.
