Islamabad: Pakistan’s security forces successfully countered what they described as unprovoked attacks by Afghan Taliban along the Pakistan–Afghanistan border, the Ministry of Information reported. The retaliatory action inflicted significant losses on the militants, including the destruction of multiple border posts and heavy military equipment.
According to officials, Taliban fighters miscalculated the situation and targeted various locations across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Pakistani forces responded swiftly and professionally, ensuring the aggressors suffered both personnel and material losses.
The ministry emphasized that Pakistan is fully capable of defending its frontiers and warned that any further provocations would be met with decisive action. Security personnel along the border remain on high alert.
