Hot and Dry Weather to Continue Across Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) forecasts mainly hot and dry weather in most parts of the country over the next 24 hours.

Rain and thunderstorms, however, are expected in the upper regions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and surrounding areas.

The weather conditions are influenced by continental air dominating most parts of Pakistan.

Weather Patterns and Predictions

A high-pressure system in the upper atmosphere is currently over the country and is likely to remain in place for the next four to five days.

This system contributes to the hot and dry weather experienced in many regions.

Additionally, a shallow westerly trough may affect upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and nearby areas during the evening and night hours.
This could bring rain, wind, and thunderstorms to parts of Gilgit and Baltistan as well.

Impact on Daily Life

Residents in the affected northern areas should prepare for wet and windy conditions.

Elsewhere, the hot and dry weather may continue to impact daily activities, requiring precautions such as staying hydrated and avoiding prolonged exposure to the sun.

PMD will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as needed to help communities stay informed.
