CJCSC attends high-level military talks in Qatar

Doha: In a move to bolster military ties and regional strategic dialogue, Pakistan’s Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, embarked on an official visit to Qatar where he engaged in high-level talks with Qatar’s defense and political leadership.

During the visit, General Mirza took part in the second High-Level Military Cooperation Committee (HMCC) meeting. The session was co-chaired by Qatar’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs, Sheikh Saud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, alongside Qatar’s Army Chief, Lieutenant General Jassim Mohammed Ahmed Al Mana.

The discussions focused on enhancing bilateral defense cooperation, intelligence sharing, and strategic coordination in light of evolving regional and global security challenges. Both sides voiced their commitment to fostering peace and stability through joint efforts and sustained engagement.

Qatar’s leadership praised the professionalism and operational capabilities of Pakistan’s armed forces, particularly in counterterrorism efforts, highlighting the country’s experience and strategic value.

As a symbol of respect and partnership, General Mirza was given a ceremonial guard of honor at the Qatar Army Headquarters.

The visit reflects a deepening of Pakistan-Qatar defense relations, with both nations reaffirming their shared vision for security cooperation and regional harmony.
