DG ISPR visits GIKI, reaffirms Pakistan’s commitment to combat khawarij in Afghanistan

Swabi : Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, the spokesperson for Pakistan Army and Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), has emphasized that Pakistan has taken decisive steps to address the issue of foreign militants, particularly the Khawarij, in Afghanistan. He assured that the Pakistan Army would remain a steadfast force against any form of aggression, reaffirming its unwavering commitment to national security and the protection of Pakistan’s borders.

Lt Gen Chaudhry made these remarks during his visit to the Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology in Topi, Swabi. The visit also served as an opportunity to discuss a range of critical topics, including the recent border clashes between Pakistan and Afghanistan, the evolving security situation, and the increasing influence of social media in shaping public opinion.

Highlighting the importance of youth in the country’s future, Lt Gen Chaudhry praised Pakistan’s younger generation for their vital role in the nation’s development and prosperity. He urged students to stay dedicated to national progress, stressing that their contributions are essential in building a brighter, more resilient Pakistan.

During the visit, students and faculty members of the university paid tribute to the martyrs and veterans of the Pakistan Armed Forces. The students expressed a strong desire for more targeted interactions to combat disinformation and propaganda, underscoring the value they place on the role of the Pakistan Army in ensuring peace and contributing to national development.

The session also featured an interactive segment, where students had the chance to pose questions to Lt Gen Chaudhry, who provided comprehensive responses that helped clarify various security concerns. The discussion proved instrumental in dispelling misconceptions, and it strengthened the students’ understanding of the security challenges facing the country.

By the end of the session, the students were not only more informed but also deeply appreciative of the sacrifices made by the Pakistan Army.
