Lahore: In the recent Senate by-election held to fill the vacant seat from the Punjab Assembly, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) candidate Rana Sanaullah has reportedly won, according to unofficial and preliminary results.
Rana Sanaullah secured 250 votes from the members of the Punjab Assembly, showcasing strong support within the legislative body. Meanwhile, one ballot was rejected during the voting process. The election was closely watched as the seat was considered pivotal in the political landscape of Punjab.
This victory strengthens PML-N’s position in the Senate and is seen as a significant political achievement for Rana Sanaullah, a seasoned politician with considerable influence in Punjab politics.
