ISLAMABAD: Karachi police have detained three social media influencers — two sisters and her brother — suspected of stealing over one hundred thirty million in cash and valuables from a residence in PECHS Block 2 while impersonating FIA officers.
The suspects, including well-known TikToker and model Yousra Zeb, reportedly carried out the robbery in the early hours of June 26.
Disguised in burqas and fake FIA uniforms, they held the homeowner at gunpoint and looted the property.
Robbery Planned Using Fake FIA Cover
Police reported that the group stopped the victim, Muhammad Saalik, while he was parking outside his home on Khalid Bin Waleed Road.
They forced him inside and stole a staggering amount of valuables, including:
Rs. 130 million in cash
25 luxury perfumes
20 branded wristwatches
iPhones, laptops, and other personal items
Social Media Fame Aided Identification
Yousra’s social media presence, including posts with celebrities, became a key factor in tracking the trio.
Police are also investigating her connection to previous crimes involving impersonation and organized theft.
Another suspect, Shahroz, is still at large, and search operations are underway.
