Islamabad : Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has declared that Pakistan has entered a transformative chapter in its history, following the critical developments of May 6 and May 10, which he described as defining moments for the nation’s strength and unity.
Addressing a gathering on the occasion of International Youth Day, the Prime Minister reflected on Pakistan’s past, paying homage to the unwavering efforts of the youth, minorities, and leaders like Quaid-e-Azam, who shaped the country’s foundation through sacrifice and resolve.
Turning to recent national security events, PM Shehbaz revealed that the Pakistan Air Force successfully downed six Indian aircraft, including four state-of-the-art Rafales, in a powerful display of defensive might. He said the events of early May marked the emergence of a “New Pakistan” — more assertive, confident, and unyielding in the face of aggression.
“No enemy can take away a single drop of our water. If they try, they will face consequences so severe, they will become a lesson in history,” he said, delivering a stern warning to those who challenge Pakistan’s sovereignty.
He further emphasized that the 10th of May shattered India’s illusion of military dominance. “The arrogance of our neighbor drowned that day,” he remarked, alluding to the strategic blow delivered by Pakistan’s forces.
PM Shehbaz concluded by urging unity, patriotism, and continued vigilance, especially from the country’s youth, whom he called the real architects of Pakistan’s future.
