ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s military successfully eliminated seven terrorists linked to the Indian proxy group Fitna al Hindustan during two intelligence-based operations in Balochistan.
These operations reflect the ongoing efforts by security forces to curb militancy and restore peace in the region amid rising tensions.
Targeted Operations in Mach and Kalat Districts
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the first operation took place in the Mach area of Kachhi district after receiving credible intelligence about the presence of terrorists.
Security forces launched a swift and precise assault on the militant hideout, engaging in an intense firefight that resulted in the deaths of five terrorists.
The second operation occurred in the Margand area of Kalat district, where troops raided a terrorist hideout and successfully neutralised two more militants. In both operations, weapons, ammunition, and explosives were recovered, highlighting the serious threat these groups posed.
Commitment to Eliminating Terrorism in Balochistan
The ISPR reiterated Pakistan’s determination to eliminate Indian-sponsored terrorism from the country, emphasizing the nation’s resolve to bring all perpetrators and facilitators to justice.
The government has designated all militant outfits operating in Balochistan under the umbrella term “Fitna al Hindustan,” a phrase coined to highlight what the military describes as India’s proxy role in destabilising Pakistan. This development follows recent security reports showing an increase in militant attacks in the region, which have claimed the lives of security personnel and civilians alike.
With counterterrorism efforts intensifying, Pakistani forces continue to face challenges from various militant groups.
However, the successes of these operations underline the strength and coordination of the military’s intelligence and operational capabilities, aiming to restore peace and stability in troubled areas of Balochistan.
