Islamabad : Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Monday directed the relevant authorities to ensure that all development projects of national importance are completed within the stipulated timeframe while maintaining the highest standards of quality.
The instructions were issued during a meeting with Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Professor Ahsan Iqbal, who briefed the prime minister on the progress of the government’s ongoing development initiatives.
Prime Minister Shehbaz said the timely completion of public welfare projects remains a key priority of the government, adding that such projects play a vital role in improving living standards, generating employment opportunities, and supporting sustainable economic growth.
During the meeting, the prime minister reviewed the status of development projects being implemented across the country, including those being carried out under the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP).
Professor Ahsan Iqbal informed the prime minister about the implementation of ongoing projects, the progress achieved so far, and future plans to ensure their successful completion.
The prime minister also directed all ministries and relevant departments to enhance coordination and work together more effectively to speed up the implementation of development projects, enabling the public to benefit from them at the earliest.
The meeting also included discussions on various aspects of Pakistan’s national development strategy and future economic growth objectives
