India Sponsoring Terrorism to Destabilize Pakistan: DG ISPR

RAWALPINDI: Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, has strongly accused India of sponsoring terrorism in Pakistan, calling it an orchestrated effort to destabilize the region.

Speaking at a joint press conference alongside Interior Secretary Khurram Agha in Rawalpindi on Thursday, the DG ISPR revealed what he described as “credible information and undeniable evidence” of Indian involvement in recent acts of terrorism, particularly in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to General Chaudhry, India is using proxies such as “Fitna al-Hindustan” and “Fitan al-Khawarij” to target civilians, including laborers, barbers, passengers, and now even school children.

He stated that these terrorist outfits operate under the direct patronage of the Indian intelligence agency RAW, planning and executing attacks designed to create fear and unrest within Pakistan.

Digital Warfare and Propaganda Campaign

The DG ISPR also highlighted India’s role in digital warfare, citing social media manipulation and electronic media propaganda as tools to celebrate and justify terrorism in Pakistan.

He shared screenshots and video clips from Indian social media accounts and news channels that glorified recent attacks, including the tragic assault on the Jaffer Express and the deadly school bus bombing in Khuzdar.

Interior Secretary Khurram Agha confirmed that initial findings from the Khuzdar school bus attack point to a pattern of Indian-sponsored violence.

He said these acts are not isolated incidents but part of a broader campaign aimed at destabilizing Balochistan, sabotaging development projects, and spreading fear among civilians.

Pakistan’s Firm Response and National Unity

Both officials stressed that Pakistan remains resolute in the face of these threats. Secretary Agha noted that India’s proxies, having failed in earlier operations like “Operation Sindoor,” are now targeting soft targets to create the illusion of state fragility.

Yet, he emphasized that Pakistan has both the capacity and the will to dismantle these terrorist networks.

General Chaudhry shared testimonies from captured Baloch separatists who admitted being manipulated by Indian handlers.

He described the tragic story of a father who lost his two daughters in a recent attack, yet remains unwavering in his patriotism. “This is the spirit we must all emulate,” he said, calling for unity under the banner of “Banyanum Marsoos” to confront and defeat India’s destabilizing agenda.

Progress in Balochistan Despite Challenges

The DG ISPR reiterated that Pakistan’s response will be decisive and guided by national unity. Over 203 terrorists have been neutralized in Balochistan in the first five months of 2025 alone, compared to 250 in all of 2024

. He outlined ongoing development projects such as the Rekodiq gold mines, Gwadar Port, the Green Pakistan initiative, and Kachhi Canal, which have become targets of Indian-sponsored sabotage due to their strategic significance.

He concluded by stating that Pakistan is a responsible state acting rationally to resolve the challenges in Balochistan through coordinated national efforts.

However, he categorically declared that Pakistan will continue to expose India’s regional subversion. “India’s uproar is a sign of desperation.

The world knows their history—from Mukti Bahini in 1971 to the present day—and we have the evidence to prove it.”
