PML-N Strengthened Defence and Advanced Missile Technology: Nawaz Sharif

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Nawaz Sharif has reiterated that his party played a crucial role in strengthening Pakistan’s defence capabilities and advancing missile technology, contrasting sharply with the previous government’s performance.

Speaking to the media outside his residence in London, Nawaz Sharif highlighted the party’s achievements in national development and security.

Nawaz Sharif proudly mentioned that under PML-N’s tenure, Pakistan carried out successful nuclear explosions and collaborated with China to build JF-17 Thunder fighter aircraft. “We gave missile technology to Pakistan, and significantly enhanced the country’s defence,” he said. He expressed gratitude for the recent election victory, emphasizing that people continue to trust PML-N due to its tangible work.

Emphasizing Development and Stability

Nawaz Sharif pointed out that the country’s economy is gradually improving under PML-N’s efforts. “During our government, the rupee remained stable for four years, and the growth rate touched 7%,” he said, underscoring the need for political work that benefits the people.

He stressed that political parties earn votes through effective governance and development, not merely rhetoric.

The PML-N leader also highlighted that the nation’s conditions are steadily returning to stability, and overall development is progressing. “Everything is improving step by step,” he added, reinforcing the party’s commitment to the country’s future.

Nawaz Sharif arrived at London Luton Airport aboard a special plane, accompanied by his son Hassan Nawaz and his personal physician.

During his stay, the former prime minister will undergo a comprehensive medical examination.

Media reports suggest that Nawaz Sharif will celebrate Eidul Azha in London with his family.
