ISLAMABAD: Geo Films is all set to release its new horror-family drama Deemak this Eid ul Adha, offering audiences a unique blend of spine-chilling horror and emotional family storytelling.
The recently launched trailer has sparked significant curiosity online, receiving positive responses from fans and critics alike, signaling a promising addition to Pakistani cinema.
Trailer Sparks Excitement and Cast Visits Local Cinema
The trailer, which has gone viral on social media, gives viewers a glimpse into the eerie happenings inside a middle-class household where a young couple faces unsettling supernatural events.
Following the trailer’s release, the cast—featuring Faysal Quraishi, Sonya Hussyn, and Samina Peerzada—visited a local cinema, where fans warmly welcomed them, capturing moments with selfies and sharing their excitement.
Faysal Quraishi shared, “This film will appeal especially to those who enjoy horror along with layered family storytelling.” Sonya Hussyn added that the narrative goes beyond just scares, delving into complex social dynamics.
Veteran actress Samina Peerzada highlighted that Deemak uses horror to explore how fear strains family relationships, particularly the tense bond between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law.

Directed by emerging filmmaker Rafi Rashdi and written by acclaimed writer Ayesha Muzaffar, Deemak features a strong ensemble cast including Javed Sheikh, Bushra Ansari, Saman Ansari, Anaya Abbas, and Areez Abbas. The film is produced under Mandviwalla Entertainment, with Syed Murad Ali as executive producer.
The production benefits from international expertise as well, with cinematography by Rana Kamran, visual effects by Julia Milas and Imagine Magic Studios, and a haunting soundscape created by Sohaib Rashdi.
