Gaza City : The Israel-Palestine conflict has escalated once again, with Israel confirming the recovery of two hostages’ bodies from Gaza. Meanwhile, in the occupied West Bank, Israeli forces launched a large-scale operation, surrounding several neighborhoods and ordering residents to evacuate their homes.
In just the past 24 hours, 13 more Palestinians have been martyred in fresh Israeli airstrikes, bringing the death toll to over 100 since the ceasefire agreement was enacted.
Rescue teams continue to recover bodies from the rubble of bombed-out buildings, while hospitals in Gaza have received the remains of an additional 57 victims.
Local health authorities report that the cumulative death toll in Gaza has now reached 68,229, with the situation rapidly worsening. Hospitals are overwhelmed, operating beyond capacity, and the shortage of burial space has led to an accumulation of bodies.
The ongoing blockade has prevented the delivery of much-needed humanitarian aid, further deepening the already catastrophic crisis.
In response to the humanitarian disaster, French President Emmanuel Macron has called for the immediate reopening of the Rafah border crossing to allow the delivery of emergency relief and medical supplies to the besieged population of Gaza.
