LONDON: Rap icon Snoop Dogg has revealed plans to open a pop-up burger van outside Celtic Park, home to the Scottish football champions.
Known for his love of Celtic, Snoop Dogg previously showed interest in buying a stake in the Glasgow club, inspired by celebrity investments in football teams like Wrexham.
Now, the 53-year-old rapper wants to connect with fans in a more delicious way — by serving up his own gourmet burgers at the stadium.
A Culinary Tribute to Celtic Fans
Snoop Dogg, who authored the cookbook From Crook to Cook, described Celtic supporters as “special” and said he identifies with the club mascot, Hoopy the Hound.
He promised fans a “foodie Paradise” experience at the stadium, aiming to prove that stadium food can be both tasty and high-quality.
His burger recipe includes ground beef mixed with secret spices, premium cheese, and maple-cured bacon — all prepared with love by Snoop himself.
“I would love to bring a pop-up burger van to a sports stadium to show fans that food at stadiums can be good,” he told the Sunday Mail.
Beyond Burgers: Snoop’s Sporting Passion
Beyond his culinary plans, Snoop Dogg has been active in sports advocacy, launching youth football leagues and supporting pay equality for female athletes.
He recently worked as an NBC correspondent at the Paris Olympics, further showing his deep connection with sports culture.
Interestingly, Snoop confirmed his burger venture will be exclusive to Celtic, saying he has no plans to take his culinary creations to Celtic’s arch-rivals Rangers.
This fun initiative adds a new dimension to his long-standing admiration for the Glasgow club.
