Field Marshal Asim Munir Spends Eid with Troops at LoC

ISLAMABAD: Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff (COAS), visited forward positions along the Line of Control (LoC) to celebrate Eid-ul-Azha with Pakistan Army troops stationed on the frontline.

The visit began with Eid prayers where heartfelt supplications were offered for Pakistan’s lasting peace, national unity, and the martyrs who laid down their lives for the defence of the country.

Extending Eid greetings to officers and soldiers, the COAS praised their professionalism and dedication.

He said celebrating Eid away from home reflects their immense sacrifice and commitment to safeguarding the motherland.

Field Marshal Asim Munir expressed pride in the troops for their readiness to serve under extreme conditions and their loyalty to duty throughout the year.

Tribute to Martyrs and National Resilience

During his address, the COAS lauded the formation’s commendable role in significant operations including Marqa-e-Haq and Operation Bunyaanum Marsoos.

He paid tribute to the martyrs and Ghazis whose courage strengthens national defence and inspires continued resolve.

He added that the troops have given a strong and fitting response to enemy actions, avenging the loss of innocent Pakistani lives—including children, women, and the elderly.

This bold response reflects the Army’s unwavering resolve in the face of aggression.

Full Confidence in Troops’ Readiness

While engaging with soldiers on duty, Field Marshal Munir appreciated their high morale and operational readiness.

He stated that the armed forces are fully prepared to deter and defeat any misadventure by the enemy.

He reaffirmed the Army’s stance in defending every inch of the homeland with unmatched courage and vigilance.

The Army Chief also reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering support for the Kashmiri people in their struggle for self-determination.

He called for a just resolution of the Kashmir issue in accordance with UN Security Council resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.

The COAS was welcomed at the LoC by the Commander of Rawalpindi Corps.
